MFL pupils write rainbow poems

Après l’orage arrive l’arc-en-ciel (After the storm arrives the rainbow)

Head of Modern Foreign Languages, Mrs Scully, has focussed on the uplifting spirit of the rainbow in her lessons this week.    The poem, ‘les sept couloirs magiques’ is based on a rainbow and is used quite widely in schools to teach French colours.

Que faites-vous pendant les cours de français?  (What do you do during French lessons?)

This week pupils have been creating French rainbows based on the poem and putting them in their windows. 

Here's two pupils' efforts:  

Year 8 Maya P D4 (main photo) and Sara T C4, who had so much fun writing her poem and painting the rainbow that she produced one in French and English!
