Every year, Priory's Head Prefects take part in Penwortham's Remembrance service at St Leonard's church and then lay a wreath at the war memorial on Liverpool Road.

As this couldn't happen this year, along side Headteacher Mr Eastham and gardener Mr Farron, Louis, Tilly, Lillie and Tom placed a wreath in our own memorial garden as they paid their respects to those who gave their lives in order to protect our freedom.

The poppy growing to the left of the wreath was brought back from Belgium by our pupils when they visited in 2018.

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,

we will remember them.”

Lest we forget.
