Crochet Club is getting busier each week and it's wonderful to see these traditional crafts being passed on to the next generation.

Miss Dixon, who organised the club alongside Miss Atkinson, said, "There are plenty of beginners and crochet is not as easy as it looks. It may take time to get everyone trained up, but we are going to post some links to videos on Teams to help them learn the basics over the Christmas period.

"Pupils have told us what they want to make – some of these are rather ambitious, but we will endeavour to help them learn these skills. We aim to crochet scarves, hats and blankets for local homeless charities and women’s refuges."

We have had some great donations and welcome any more contributions of wool and hooks (4.0 and 4.5 preferably).

All pupils are welcome to join the group, every Monday break and lunch in LEAP2, to learn a new skill and make new friends. No equipment needed, just turn up!
