Eco Club tree planting provides opportunity for careers advice

On Thursday, a group of Year 8-10 pupils went to Middleforth Community Garden to help South Ribble Borough Council plant trees.  

Science Teacher and Eco Club Leader, Mrs Massey, said, “We planted 275 in total!  The boys worked really hard and the Council team we were working with were very impressed with how many trees we got through.”  

During the session, a member of the Council Parks team also took the group to the site where a new play park is under construction.  He explained all the different roles involved which provided a great opportunity for some extra careers advice.
