Last year’s Year 11 pupils were invited to return to Priory for one last time as they gathered for their Celebration Evening.

Class of 2017 caught up with former classmates and teachers as they went off to collect their well-earned GCSE certificates before heading to the Assembly Hall to rejoin their families for the awards presentation.

Subject awards, cups, trophies and special prizes were given out by Mr Eastham and Mrs Cowell before special guest speaker, Mr Philip Dyer, addressed the audience with his presentation on success and the importance of failure.

Philip’s business career has spanned 30 years across a broad range of sectors and his focus has always been people.  Philip’s ability to identify the barriers to personal growth and development and how this impacts on aspirations and ambition was one of the reasons why he was invited to present to the former pupils at this crucial time in their lives.

As the main event came to an end, all guests and staff retired to the dining hall for refreshments, photographs and relaxed reflection on their years at Priory.
