Priory pupils become mini-masters
28 June 2018
On Thursday, 28 June, Priory’s Year 9 Sparks were treated to a Masterclass day hosted by Ormskirk School.
Pupils chose three workshops from thirteen Masterclasses on offer according to their areas of interest.
Sessions designed to spark further interest in a range of educational areas included, ‘Designing humans: The Future Generation’, ‘The Greatest Showman. How Great Is It?’, ‘Have I Got News For You?’ and ‘A Graphics Approach to Printing’.
Delivered by staff from the twelve schools in attendance, Mr Taylor’s music focussed session was entitled “How far can you change a melody until it is unrecognisable?’
Seven of the fourteen pupils that attended were awarded ‘best in class’. Head of Music, Mr Taylor, who accompanied the pupils commented, “The pupils had a very engaging day and left a very positive impression on all”. One pupil said that the session she attended was the best she had ever been to and now plans to study philosophy.
Well done to James A-W, Rayhan B, Colin C, Matthew D, Cieran D, Imogen K, Isaac M, Jack P, Mustafa R, Lauren R, May R, Ryan S, Lucy S and Ben W.
