Arranged by Sports Events Co-Ordinator For Charities, John Gibson, South Ribble and Preston schools took part in a number of sporting events to raise money for Heartbeat.

The charity’s purpose is to contribute to a reduction in cardiovascular disease through the delivery of services aimed at existing heart patients and those identified as at risk of developing it.

During Priory’s Healthy School Week, pupils made a donation to take part in interhouse sporting events including football and athletic challenges. The money raised from three lunchtime activities brought in an impressive £150.

Pupils B Aubrey-Williams and L Cawood accompanied Head of PE, Mr Bullock, to Heartbeat’s headquarters at Preston North End where PNE’s manager Alex Neil was present for the schools’ prize draw.
