STEM careers fair
23 September 2019
Last Friday was our careers event when we invited a range of organisations from the world of business and education to talk to Priory pupils.
The event focussed on careers in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) industries and was a wonderful opportunity for pupils to talk to our visitors and open themselves up to the different career routes in the sectors.
Throughout the morning, Pupils went into the Assembly Hall with their lesson group for the chance to ask questions and hopefully be inspired to pursue STEM career paths in the future.
Assistant Head of Science, Mrs Massey, who organised the event said, “The event aimed to showcase jobs connected with Science such as engineering, environmental science, pathology, health & fitness, and encourage pupils to take up a career in the industry.”
Thank you to the fifteen organisations that supported the event including the all local colleges and UCLan, Leyland Trucks, Institution of Engineering & Technology, The Royal Navy, Levity Crop Science, Nuffield Health, Rosemere and Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.
