Mrs Gidden's cool readers club - Ben

Priory’s Head of English, Mrs Gidden, has been really impressed with many of our multi-talented pupils and wanted to highlight their love of reading while excelling at other pursuits.

This week we interviewed Year 8 pupil, Ben.

Ben is a keen sportsman, he wants to be a lawyer and he enjoys reading!

Ben is currently hooked on the book ‘The House of Hades’ which is in the Heroes of Olympus series of Rick Riordan’s books.

“I like Greek mythology and Romans as well. I find it really interesting and these are really good books. I think the one I am reading at the moment is my favourite book.

“It’s about Percy Jackson and Annabeth and they fall into the underworld and demigods have to save them.”

Ben enjoys Maths in school and out of school takes part in sport – as well as reading.

“I play cricket for Vernon’s Cricket Club, I am an all-rounder in the Under 12s, and I also play tennis at South Ribble Tennis Club.

“When I am older I want to be a lawyer, I like helping people and I like questioning things.”
