Girls cricket team compete in Lancashire championships

Priory's Under 13s girls cricket team travelled to Bolton Arena on Thursday to compete in the Lancashire Cricket Foundation's county finals.

Priory's U13 team are the current South Ribble champions and went on to become South West Lancashire finalists which qualified them for this week's county tournament.

Matches were against seven other schools who had previously won their respective regional events - Haslingdon, Stonyhurst, Ormskirk, Alder Grange, Urmston, St Peters, Bellerive.

PE teacher, Mrs Bullock, commented proudly, "Although the girls didn't win this time, they achieved a lot from the experience and even gained an invitation to play at Stonyhurst in June!"
