Year 8 bookmark competition is back

It's Bookmark Competition time again for Year 8!

The Acting Assistant Head of English, Mrs Webster, has set all Year 8 pupils a creative challenge which will also prove useful for pupils' Accelerated Reading (AR) sessions.  This year your theme is 'Everybody's Reading'.

Using the template provided*, pupils should design their own bookmark within the area specified (the top bit!). The winning designs will be printed onto card and distributed to all readers who will then be able to add their name, reading ZPD and their colour code. It also has the web address for the AR site on it - a handy reminder for you all!

Year 8 pupils should return entries to their English teacher by Thurs, 30 September. Please ensure your name and English class are written on the back.

*Templates can be collected from your English teacher or can be found at the pages of the newsletter 17 Sept.
