What's the music this week? w/c 17 January
17 January 2022
This week it's all about: Animals (with an inter-house competition)
The theme will be Animals and the animal reference may be found in either the song title, the name of the group or a combination of these. If an animal name is spelt incorrectly but sounds as the animal, such as the Beatles then I'll class that as valid.
There will be a playlist of 10 songs per day to answer played across break and lunchtime. Pupils then send their answers to Mr Taylor and results will be calculated as per...
- Overall top 3 across the school
- Top 3 from each house
- A list of participants from each house
Examples are: Song - Tiger Feet, Singer/Group - Adam Ant or both - The Octopus's Garden by The Beatles
MABAL is music played through the school's tannoy system during break and lunch. Chosen by Mr Taylor, Lead Teacher for Music, this is designed to offer exposure to the curriculum in different ways, and support pupils' appreciation of music.
The focus is on one theme each week across a genre, a country or from history. The theme could also link to the season or an event in school, such as the production. Any further suggestions are welcomed - pupils should see Mr Taylor or email a.taylor@priory.lancs.sch.uk
