PRIORY'S NEXT PRODUCTION:  Game Over by Mark Wheeller

A hard-hitting piece of verbatim theatre. Where real lives are seen, real words are spoken, and real lives changed.

GAME OVER is an utterly compelling piece of verbatim theatre with significant contemporary messages to deliver. It educates young people on how to keep safe online and to recognise the signs of grooming and exploitation in an engaging and creative way.

Game Over tells the harrowing true story of teenager Breck Bednar, who was groomed over the internet and brutally murdered on 17th February 2014 by a supposed ‘friend’ that he met online.

Lead Teacher for Drama, Miss Howell, said: "Our students are excited to be able to bring a different style of theatre to the community and to be able to send a message that is vitally important in today’s society.

Many of our children spend time online via gaming or social media and it is important as role models that we educate them of the dangers and recognising the signs of grooming."

Who was Breck Bednar and what's his story?
