Earth shattering time for Year 8 Geography

Mrs Kursitis' Year 8 classes have been creating earthquake proof buildings this week.  

Pupils had to plan out their designs before making a start on their building. Once their design was drawn up, they were given a select amount of materials to work with including card, small boxes, paper straws and tape.

Earlier in the week, pupils had spent time learning about the dangers of earthquakes are how countries can predict, prepare and protect themselves in a seismic event.
