Fun and games on rewards day

Thursday was our Rewards Day for those pupils who had worked hard and had demonstrated the Priory standard over the Autumn term.  Pupils who chose to stay in school, rather than going to the Trafford Centre, enjoyed a range of enrichment activities on the theme of ‘games’.

In the ICT & Computing Department, Mrs Qadri and Miss Gregson invited pupils to redesign the cover of their favourite game and make their own game using Scratch.  There were even doughnuts (thanks Tesco, Penwortham!) and hot chocolate treats available at break.

With Mrs Lawe, pupils competed against each other in Taskmaster-style challenges to develop teamwork and critical thinking skills whilst having fun.  There were quizzes, debates and board games with Mr Sneddon and Mr Hunter and the opportunity to spend free time on the AstroTurf at the end of the day.
