Year 7 offer advice for new pupils joining us in September
12 May 2025
As we prepare to welcome our new pupils for September 2025, we asked our current Year 7s what they like about Priory and what makes it different to their primary school:
Our Year 7 pupils are close to completing their first year and are embracing secondary school life. They talked to us about what they like about their school, their favourite subjects and more!
Zach, from Middleforth Primary, said: “I like the teachers. It is different to primary school as you definitely get more homework and you walk between lessons.
“I do the football training every Thursday and the 3D Printing Club every Friday.”
Penwortham Primary School's Charlotte said: “I like that there are more people than at primary school and I have made friends easily. I enjoy PE the best.”
Emeli, from New Longton Primary, said: “I like History and PE. I go to Drama Club after school and am part of the football team.
“It’s a lot bigger than primary school.
“I was a little nervous when I first came but I soon settled in.”
Howick's Harry said: “I like lunchtimes as I get to talk to my friends. My favourite subject is PE.”
Finn, Cop Lane Primary, said: “I enjoy it at Priory. I like lunchtime. I like pain au chocolat and chicken wraps.
“I like PE and play badminton, basketball and also football training.
“It was different when I came here but I took it all in my stride.”
Lostock Hall Primary's Niall: “I like all the subjects and the teachers are nice. I attend Graphic Design Club and Textile Club. I like making things, I am making a dog for my sister.
“I was nervous when I first came here as I only had one friend but I have made a lot of friends.
“To any Year 6s, I would say don’t be nervous and you will always make friends.”
