As part of Priory’s Gifted & Talented Primary School Programme, we regularly invite Year 5 pupils from feeder schools to attend a day with us to learn more about a subject they excel in.

This Thursday was the Food Technology Department’s chance to show pupils from St Stephens Primary School what we offer, all based on an Italian theme.

Miss Lewis-Lavender, with support from Year 10 pupil Sabrine, truly embraced the day.  The children learnt how to make tomato pasta, macaroni cheese and mini pizzas which they could then have for their lunch.  They also learnt phrases they might use in an Italian restaurant before finishing off with their home-made gelato.

Classic Italian tunes were played over the sound system to add to the atmosphere and Sabrine even serenaded the group with her beautiful operatic voice whilst doing the washing up!

Ciao St Stephens and we hope to see you again soon.
