Year 10 pupils experience a bit of an act for English Literature

Year 10 pupils enjoyed visits by Initiate Theatre Company on Monday and Wednesday this week.

Following their English Language exam Monday morning, half of the  year group sat down to watch a performance of ‘The Strange Case Of Doctor Jekyll & Mr Hyde’. Q&A workshops followed enabling pupils to gain an full understanding of the text.

Organised by Mrs Gidden, the second half of the year group took up their opportunity on Wednesday when the theatre company returned for perform ‘A Christmas Carol’. 

Head of English, Mrs Gidden, commented: “The pupils found the visits both fun and helpful. Initiate are a fledgling company however their work was high quality and engaging.”
