12 & 13 February 2020 | Curtains up at 6.30pm TICKETS ON SALE NOW!

Our talented pupils are prepared to show ‘A Kind of Magic’ as they belt out Queen hits at ‘Schools Will Rock You’ show.

Drama Teacher Miss Howell is so proud of the effort of the cast and the backstage helpers, as everyone has come together for a top class production.

“It’s brilliant, the pupils have worked extremely hard, being at school until 6pm most days rehearsing,” said Miss Howell. “They have really surpassed themselves and have had to overcome a number of setbacks such as illnesses and so on.

“They have all been dedicated, in fact one pupil Louis, who plays Khashoggi, is so dedicated he has gone to see the show at Manchester to get tips!”

Year 11 Katie, who plays the teacher, said: “It’s been really enjoyable all working together. I have been doing it alongside my revision for my GCSEs and it’s been workable.”

Year 10 Tom, who has the part of Britney, said: “I liked Queen already so it’s good to be able to sing their songs on stage. I sing ‘I Want It All.’  I have been in Priory’s past productions of Peter Pan and The Wizard of Oz but have got a bigger part in this.”

Backstage worker Abbie, in Year 9, admits she has a bit of pressure. “I have the responsibility for the microphones and they only arrive on Monday so I have a few days to make sure they all work properly!”

Oskar, also in Year 9, added: “I am on music and projections. My job is to make sure the songs are played with their correct backgrounds at the right time. I like music and computers so I am confident it will all work out.”
