COVID-19: Advice for places of education

The Department for Education has launched a new Coronavirus helpline to answer questions about COVID-19 related to education.
Staff, parents and young people can contact the helpline as follows:

Opening hours: 8am to 6pm (Monday to Friday)
Please note, no school will not close in response to a suspected (or confirmed) COVID-19 case unless advised to do so by Public Health England.

The importance of hygiene
Personal hygiene is the most important way to tackle COVID-19. Simple and effective hand hygiene can help. Washing hands for 20 seconds is central to prevent and slow the spread of the virus; and the catch it, bin it, kill it strategy for those with coughs and sneezes.
