Here's what our Cool Readers Club is all about...

These are our reading stars put forward by their English teacher.  We interview them about their current book, what they like reading about and what they like to do when they’re not reading.  Introducing Jad..

Jad is one of Mrs Gidden's Cool Readers and it's no wonder as he has read all 13 books in the Alex Rider series twice!

Alex Rider is a teenage spy invented by British author Anthony Horowitz and Jad admitted he is hooked on the books.

"I have just finished 'Nightshade,' the final one, I read it in a day. I have read the whole series twice.

"They are about a spy Alex Rider who is sent on a mission to take out an organisation.

"I like adventure novels and once I read one of the series, I was hooked. Once I read one chapter, I wanted to read the next.

"I don't know what I will read next!"

When not reading, Liverpool fan Jad can be found playing up front for football team Leyland Pirates or in the park with his brothers. He also plays football for Priory.

Jad's English teacher, Mrs Robinson-Ali added, "It seems to me that Jad's nose is never out of a book! In our AR lessons he is always at the top of the word count leaderboard for the class and he is always doing quizzes on the books he has read. It's lovely to see he enjoys reading as one of his many interests!"
