Here's what our Cool Readers Club is all about...

These are our reading stars put forward by their English teacher.  We interview them about their current book, what they like reading about and what they like to do when they’re not reading.  Introducing Ebony...

Ebony likes books from horror to romance.

Year 10 Ebony was reading ‘The Night Shift’ by Stephen King, which is a collection of short stories. 

“It’s a bit creepy but I do like it,” said Ebony. 

“I like horror books but also like romance and drama. My favourite authors are Stephen King and Colleen Hoover so they are a real mixture. I like any book which catches my eye really!” 

Ebony’s favourite subjects in school are English and History but her career ambitions lie elsewhere. 

“I want to be a medic on the frontline so I do like sciences as well. A lot of people in my family have army connections so it’s always been something I have been attracted to even though I know it could be dangerous.” 

Ebony is returning to the Army Cadets soon and also does indoor climbing in her spare time.
