Year 7 Freddie is currently taking the BMX biking world by storm as National and British champion.
Freddie is a member of Preston Pirates BMX Club and said: “I got into it when I was riding around the Guild Wheel, aged around six or seven, and I saw some riders on a track. I stopped and watched and they invited me down and I have taken it from there.”
Freddie has competed all over Europe, including France and Belgium, taking part in European and World BMX competitions.
“I am a bit of a risk taker so I enjoy the challenges of BMX riding,” said Freddie.
“I also enjoy coaching and I coach some of the younger age groups at Preston Pirates.”
Freddie was National and British champion for nine-year-olds, he was double champion aged 10 and has just won the 11-year-old National and British titles.
“The National title is won over a series of eight races in the UK and you pick up points over the series.
“The British title is a one-off day, it was in Derby, and you have to go through the rounds with eight competing in the final and I won.
“My dream is to compete in the Olympics.”
