GCSE results will be available for Class of 2024 to collect from school on Thursday, 22 August between 11am and 1pm.

Results can only be given to the Year 11 pupil themselves however a nominated person may collect on their behalf if that person has a note, signed by the pupil, authorising their consent.  This includes parents as pupils have legal responsibility for their own results.

Results will be given out at the front of school outside reception between 11am -12 noon, as this has worked well. If the weather is inclement, pupils should head to the Assembly Hall.  Between 12 noon and 1pm pupils can collect from reception.  Please note, school will close at 1pm.  Pupils who have been asked to get involved with our publicity should arrive at 11am and see Mrs Yates for your results envelopes.

If you are on holiday, we can arrange for the results to be sent by email.  Emails can only be sent directly to the pupil. If you would like us to do this then the request must come from the pupil themselves.  Please contact the Exams Officer, Miss Conway, by telephone or email and include your full name and personal email address (not school email). Results will be issued by email from 10am and no later than 1pm on the day.

Any results not collected by 1pm will be posted, second class that day.

Queries can be emailed to Miss Conway, Exams Officer, at g.conway@priory.lancs.sch.uk or Mr Gee, Assistant Principal, at n.gee@priory.lancs.sch.uk.

Runshaw College Enrolment

Runshaw College has confirmed that Penwortham Priory Academy pupils can enrol at any point on the 22 August (they do not have to enrol by 12pm). Pupils can therefore collect their results from 11am and then make their way to the college in due course.

Preston College Enrolment

After receiving their results, pupils should log onto their online accounts and upload their GCSE results. Pupils will then be enrolled remotely and the College's curriculum teams will make contact with them.  All information has been sent to both students and parents and can also be found here Enrolment at Preston College - Preston College

Pupils should not go the college to enrol. The admissions team is available to support pupils on 01772 225517 or by emailing guidance@preston.ac.uk

The college will be open on the following days and times: Thursday 22nd August 9am – 7pm | Friday 23rd August 9am – 5pm | Tuesday 27th August 9am – 5pm | Wednesday 28th August 9am – 5pm

Re-marks and Re-sits

As always, we want to do everything we can to support our pupils to progress to the next stage of their education or employment. Any pupil who is unhappy with their results, should in the first instance, contact Mr Gee Assistant Principal via email n.gee@priory.lancs.sch.uk. He will be able to discuss concerns and advise on any next steps. Pupils may also want to talk to the sixth form or college they plan to go on to as they may well be flexible about their entry requirements.

GCSE Certificates

Certificates from the awarding bodies are expected to arrive in school early November and we will contact parents about this near the time.  It is important that we emphasise how essential it is that the exam certificates are collected and then kept in a secure place, as they are very important documents that will be needed throughout the future and can be costly to replace.

It is worth noting that school is only legally obliged to keep certificates for a 12 month period, after which time they are disposed of. If copies of certificates are needed after that time, students will need to contact the appropriate awarding bodies directly and pay costs to obtain copies.

We hope that Class of 2024 leaves Priory with the GCSE results they need along with special memories of their time with us. Good luck to everyone!
