As we continue to celebrate the achievements of our former pupils, we’re shining a spotlight on Lewis and India, who joined an inspiring theatrical project in Blackpool after moving on from Priory last summer.
Two drama tutors have established the Theatre Collective, a free college aimed at aspiring actors aged 16 to 19. With the intention of nurturing talent from the North, they are providing invaluable opportunities in Blackpool, demonstrating that it is possible to pursue a career in the creative arts without the high costs typically associated with moving to London.
In a BBC news report about the the college, India expressed her excitement about the initiative, stating, “It feels good to know there is somewhere where you can do what you want to do, and you don’t have to spend so much money to just achieve what you want.”
India and Lewis recently showcased their skills by performing Agatha Christie’s iconic play, ‘The Mousetrap,’ at St Martin’s Theatre in London.
We look forward to witnessing their continued success. You can view the full BBC article here >> https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cm2dnn85gkro
