Penwortham Primary School is thrilled to be undergoing a fantastic transformation of its outdoor learning and play environment.

With the creative vision of award-winning gardener Mr Farron and the invaluable support of Priory’s Estates Team, Phase One of the outdoor area makeover is nearly complete and already making a difference to the pupils’ experience.

Mr Farron was invited to redesign underused spaces to create a unique, inspiring and engaging outdoor area for our neighbouring primary school’s youngest learners. His work so far has focused on the Reception class garden, which is now a vibrant, welcoming space that supports both play and exploration.

“The space has been completely revitalised,” said Mr Farron. “We’ve made it even more accessible, and much more fun for the children. They can now enjoy the lawn area and we have also begun work on an imaginative ‘cave area’ with natural arches that the children will love to explore. We’ll soon be adding a brand-new mud kitchen too.”

Miss Penarski, Headteacher at Penwortham Primary School, said, “The school community is incredibly grateful for the dedication and collaboration involved in this project, and the children are already benefiting from the enriched learning environment. We are now eagerly looking forward to starting Phase Two, which will continue to build on this success.”
