A three-strong team from Penwortham Priory Academy has won two of the top awards at the Tomorrow’s Engineers EEP Robotics Challenge competition.

Priory pupils take second place at Runshaw College science competition
Thursday saw four Priory pupils venture off to Runshaw College for an afternoon of activities in Science subjects and to compete to win the Runshaw Science Cup.

From primary to Priory - the Humanities department
Pupils from our partner primary schools joined us for a Humanities Primary Day. Pupils enjoyed sampling lessons and activities from the three subject areas of History, Geography and RE to get a flavour of what Humanities is all about at secondary school. The theme for the day was ‘Volcanic Disasters’.

Former pupil dedicated to finding cure for HIV/AIDS
Class of 2002 pupil, Chi was Head Boy while at Priory and said the encouragement of the science department has inspired him to dedicate his life to finding a cure for HIV-AIDS.

Year 10 pupil is first in country to finish Tassomai
Year 10 pupil Colin becomes the first this year, nationally, to complete the Tassomai learning app, an intelligent learning programme that helps students achieve outstanding results in Science.
