Priory's library is home to a wide range of fiction and has its finger very much on the pulse of trending titles.  We aim to have something for everyone!  Although Mrs Elliott oversees the library and is responsible for purchasing its book stock, many of the book choices are made by the pupils.  Our ongoing 'Nominate a Book' initiative ensures regular requests from pupils are listened to and actioned, meaning a diverse range of titles sits on our shelves.  The library benefits from a passionate group of pupil librarians, some of whom have been in position for their entire time at Priory, who support students in sourcing books and make book recommendations.

Open every break time and lunchtime (except Wednesday lunch) the library offers a relaxing, calm environment for pupils to read, play chess or Scrabble, talk quietly or use the computers to complete their English Bedrock or other online homework such as Seneca.

This app allows you to borrow e-books from your local Lancashire library.  You will need to be a member of the library already to access it, but it’s all free!  What’s not to love?
