Priory's in full bloom for local competition
5 July 2019
This morning we welcomed the judging committee from Penwortham Town Council for Penwortham in Bloom 2019.
Penwortham in Bloom is a community competition to bring brightness and civic pride to Penwortham. This year’s theme asked entrants to incorporate the 50th anniversary of the moon landings into their floral designs.
Our gardens have won ‘Best Community Space’ for the past two years and have gone on to win ‘South Ribble in Bloom’ too.
Priory’s gardener, Mr Farron, is regularly complimented by staff and pupils for his floral displays, imaginative planting, landscaping and growing projects. We are so fortunate to have such beautiful, serene views from our classroom windows.
On 18 July we will also receive judges for North West in Bloom.
Well done Mr Farron! We would also like to thank Food Technology teacher, Miss Lewis-Lavender, for her homemade refreshments, assisted by Year 10 pupil, Olivia.
