When break-time arrived this morning pupils quickly picked up their bags and dashed over to the Food Technology room.  There was cake to be had!

Thanks to the generous donations from pupils, parents and staff, the whole school got to enjoy some gorgeous treats whilst raising funds for MacMillan Cancer Support.  With the extra cash in their pockets we were spoilt for choice in selecting the abundance of sweet treats.

It seems that the Maths department weren't going to miss out as Mr Hunter arrived to treat his colleagues. Mrs Eastham and Mrs Nayler also popped down to the Technology block to 'help out'.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is MacMillan Cancer Support’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. The first Macmillan Coffee Morning happened way back in 1990. It was a rather small affair with a simple idea: guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. It was so effective, they did it again the next year – only this time nationally. Since then, Coffee Morning has raised over £290 million for MacMillan.

We raised £125.78!  Thank you to all the pupils and staff who helped out, it was a great team effort. As well as being awarded house points, for those that donated cakes this will also contribute to their Priory Plus Award.
