Year 7 go back in time for a trip to Lancaster Castle

The History Department had an amazing three days taking our Year 7 students to Lancaster to visit the historic Priory church and Castle.

As part of what is now becoming an annual tradition, over 100 students had an opportunity to engage with historical sites that are part of their study in History this term and after Christmas.

Lead Teacher for History, Mr Eccles, said “We were very fortunate to have Andrew lead us around the Priory church, however, I had to stand in on one of the days and attempt to replicate his amazing work!

“The pupils loved the chance to explore the city centre before visiting the castle and being locked in a 17th century cell, and seeing a real-life courtroom.”
