The Governing Body of Penwortham Priory Academy currently has vacancies for three parent governors.

The governing body works with the executive leaders to set the vision, ethos and strategic direction of the school.  It holds the executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, the performance management of staff, and oversees the financial performance of the school, ensuring money is spent correctly and for the good of  all pupils.

If you wish to nominate yourself as a parent governor please complete the application form in the document group below, after referring to the accompanying criteria to ensure you are eligible.    

Please return the form via email to Mrs Sue Spencer, Clerk to Governors (, or in an envelope marked ‘Parent Governor Nomination’ via the school office.

Applications must be received no later than 12 noon on 22 January 2021.

If there are more than three nominations, a ballot will be held and further details will be sent in due course.
