Stephen knows how to hit the bullseye – the Year 7 pupil plays darts for Lancashire!
Stephen’s stage name is ‘The Thunder’ and he already has a walk-on song in ‘Believer’ by Imagine Dragons.
His dream is to be on the oche at the Alexander Palace.
Stephen said: “I have been playing darts for around eight years. My mum and dad play for Longsight and we have always had a dartboard at our home. I got selected for Lancashire Youth recently and I have played six matches for them.
“Playing darts helps my maths a lot as I have to work out really quickly what my next throw will be, my brain just clicks into it so I know what I need to get, and it does require a lot of concentration.
“My friends think it’s an unusual sport to play but I don’t mind, it’s certainly not a sport people expect me to play but I enjoy it.
“My favourite doubles are 16 and eight and my favourite players are Gary Anderson and Gerwyn Price.
“I would love to play in the Premier League or in the World Championships.”
