The Penwortham Priory Academy Year 7 football team has celebrated league success and finished runners-up in the cup.

They won the South Ribble Schools Football League after a winning six games, drawing one and scoring a total of 31 goals - a league record!

Last Wednesday evening, the team reached the final of the South Ribble Cup at Tarleton Corinthians.  The boys were 2-0 down against All Hallows, fighting back to 2-2.  Their local opponents made it 3-2 before Priory equalised with four minutes to go. However there was more late drama as All Hallows scored the winner with just two minutes left on the clock.

The Year 7 team are now looking forward to moving up to 11 vs 11 next season.
