Priory pupils will make sure it’s a kind of magic as they put on their production of ‘Schools Will Rock You’ on 10 and 11 December.

Full of Queen songs, new Drama Teacher Miss Howell has been working hard to make sure the show must go on perfectly!

Lead roles include Liam playing Galileo, Miya as Killer Queen, Aimee as Meatloaf and Louis taking the part of Khashoggi.

“With the release of the film Bohemian Rhapsody we thought it would be quite topical to put on the show ‘Schools Will Rock You,” said Miss Howell.

“It’s something a bit different, there is a lot of singing and not too many words. It’s a challenge but one the pupils have relished so far. A lot of pupils wanted to be involved and we found some very talented pupils.

“It gives the pupils an opportunity to do a full West End show so it’s very exciting.”

Pupil Louis said: “The reason I came to Priory was for productions so I am looking forward to this. I am a dancer and have been at dancing school since I was six so this is perfect for me.”

Tom said: “I do BTEC in Acting at Priory so I am really enjoying the rehearsals.”

Another performer added: “I have the main female role so there is a bit of pressure – I am excited and nervous. I am sure it will be a huge success. Being in Year 11, this is also a nice break from exams.”
