Dear Parents/ Carers

You will no doubt be aware that I wrote a letter on Friday to all those in our school community regarding the situation in relation to the Coronavirus.

The aim of this letter was to outline that our overall goal over the coming weeks will be to ensure that as many of our school community, both pupils and staff, remain as well as they can for as long as possible, in order for the school to function in the best possible way, until we are told otherwise.

Normal routines for the pupils therefore will continue as much as possible, but we must also consider the welfare of staff, their underlying health needs if applicable and implications for their families.

From today therefore, we will adopt precautionary measures, which means we will operate in different ways moving forward. This will include the practice of limiting direct contact with our stakeholders and limiting access to the school for non-essential meetings and group gatherings. In so doing, we hope to limit the spread of infection where possible, to at least reduce further the risk to our pupils, staff and our families so that the school can continue to function for as long as possible uninterrupted.

Can I take this opportunity once again to thank you for your continued support and understanding with this and for the current situation that we find ourselves in.
