Class of 2021 Celebration Evening & GCSE Certificate Collection Update
12 November 2021
Sadly, due to the rising Covid cases, it wasn't sensible for us to run an ‘in-person’ celebration event this year. Unfortunately, this meant that for the second year we have recognised the successes and achievements of Class of 2021, and have given our thanks, via a pre-recorded awards presentation led by Mr Eastham.
This is now available via YouTube for you to watch - please see below.
GCSE Certificate Collection
We are still awaiting GCSE certificates from some of the awarding bodies. These are expected to arrive by the end of November. Therefore, pupils are invited to collect their certificates from Wednesday, 1 December. Any trophies, certificates and other prizes awarded will be available for pupils to collect at this same time.
Certificates will be available to collect during school hours only by either the former pupil or their parent/guardian, and must be signed for.*
We would like to take this opportunity to emphasise how important it is that the exam certificates are collected, as they are very important documents that are likely to be needed throughout the future and particularly if a path to university is planned.
School is only legally obliged to keep certificates for a 12 month period, after which time they are disposed of. If copies of certificates are needed after that time, students will need to contact the appropriate examination board(s) directly and pay costs to obtain copies. As you will appreciate, these costs can mount up.
Once again, we wish Class of 2021 all the very best as you leave us here at Priory and embark on your bright and exciting futures.
*If any other person is collecting the certificates on your behalf they must have a note, signed by the pupil, authorising your permission for school to release them.
