Pupils are sew good at Eco Fashion Club
1 November 2022
It was the first session of Eco Fashion Club on Monday, a branch of Eco Club where pupils have the chance to make something new out of old clothes and unwanted fabric.
Led my Mrs Massey and Mrs Lockwood, the group had a very productive hour after school in the Technology block (TE4).
Mrs Lockwood commented, "Our volunteer grandparent, Mrs Lazonby, was amazing and with her expert sewing experience pupils made a good start on some practical skills of pattern cutting and machine sewing."
Photos show pupils garment upcycling to make hair scrunchies.
Pupils had some amazing ideas of other items they would like to produce in the weeks ahead.
The class runs after school every Monday from 3.10pm to 4.15pm until Christmas. All year groups welcome.
