Priory Nature Reserve gets a fresh look

Penwortham’s Nature Reserve will have a new weatherproof sign perfectly crafted by Technology Technician Mr Lawe. 

The old board was looking run down and a new sign was needed for the area, which is on the external part of school grounds and therefore open to the public. 

“The old sign has been there for around 10 years so it needed a facelift,” said Mr Lawe. 

“It probably took me around six/seven hours to complete it in my spare time, using the laser cutter in school as well as handcutting parts of it myself. 

“It’s also weatherproof so hopefully it will last a long time. I am really proud of it.” 

The sign will be fixed into place next week and officially unveiled after the half term break by the PenCon Chair and Secretary.
