Blooming winners at North West Britain in Bloom Awards

Not one, but two awards have been won by Penwortham Priory Academy at the RHS North West Britain in Bloom Awards.

Gardener Mr Farron and Vice Principal Mrs Cowell attended the ceremony on 19 October held at Bolton Stadium Hotel and came back with the Secondary School 2023 Award and the 2023 Seedley & Langworthy in Bloom Schools Award.

We all appreciate how wonderful our gardens and grounds are but you can't beat having it confirmed by elite and established organisations such as the Royal Horticultural Society.

Earlier in the year RHS judges had said, "The outdoor areas are really exceptional and a credit to everyone involved. We don’t think we have seen a secondary school in the NW with such outstanding grounds which are used very effectively as a cross curriculum resource. The outdoor areas are a delight, valued, respected and appreciated by pupils, staff and visitors to the school. Well done indeed keep up the great work."
