Here's what our Cool Readers Club is all about...

These are our reading stars put forward by their English teacher.  We interview them about their current book, what they like reading about and what they like to do when they’re not reading.  Introducing Caleb...

Caleb admits reading doesn’t come to him naturally – but he is hooked on his latest book. 

“It was chosen for me as my teacher thought I would like it and she is right,” said Year 9 Caleb. 

“It’s part of the Shadowhunters series – it’s the first in the Clockwork trilogy.

“I have only read a few pages but it’s well-written. It seemed serious at first but it does have some comedy too. I like fantasy books and this is really good. I will read the others in the series too.

“My favourite subject is History. I like the World War 2 era.” 

Caleb has found a new talent recently and is pleased with his role in the school production of Legally Blonde. 

“I haven’t thought of drama really but Miss Howell said she needed a lot of boys for roles in Legally Blonde and my friend and I decided to volunteer. I am in a Harvard class and I am a delivery guy. I am enjoying it more than I thought.” 

He is also into boxing. 

“I am going to JR Gym in Lostock Hall.”
