Black History Month food sale

As part of Priory's Black History Month celebrations, Year 11 DaMari organised a food sale which was held at break on Tuesday.  

Items made included Nigerian puff puff (like sugared doughnuts), Festivals (like fried cakes/dumplings), cupcakes with toppers of famous Black people, African Chin Chin (sweet pastry snack), Plantain Chips and Jamaican Ginger cake.

£60 was raised on the day which will be donated to Black Minds Matter charity.

Culture Club leader & Head of ICT, Mrs Qadri got all the helpers together for a photo with our new flag too!

DaMari has also delivered assemblies about Black history in Learning for Life lessons this week to Years 7, 8 and 9.
