Musical talent showcased in Year 7 & 8

Two pupils are hoping to show off their musical talents at the Summer Arts Festival next July.

Year 8 Pharaoh plays the piano while Harry is a drummer.

Pharaoh said: “I played at the Summer Showcase last year and I hope to do it again. I like the piano, it’s fun and it’s a hobby. I have been playing it for around five years.”

Harry, also Year 8, said: “I am self-taught on drums. I use my phone and iPad to also help me learn. I do want to take it further.”

Meanwhile, Year 7 Marshall H has composed his own piece of music at home on his sequencing software. His track called 'Summer's End' was played as an addition to October's MaBaL theme (Music at Break and Lunch).
