Class of 2023 pupil Harry Westworth returned to Priory this week, meeting with his mentor Mrs Qadri and inspiring pupils to follow his entrepreneurial journey.

Harry, who is 19, only left Priory three years ago but returned to deliver speeches to pupils about Ai and revision as well as his own impressive career path.

He works for a company called Knowunity which is based in Berlin and is a popular student-focused Ai learning and revision platform.

Harry said: “Even in three years, Priory has changed a lot. I am just looking at the new Pod for food, it’s very different but really nice.

“From primary school, I have always been interested in technology. I had an older brother at Priory and went to his Parents’ Evening and met Mrs Qadri there. She pushed me to take Computer Science further.

“I started volunteering for Knowunity. I was an ambassador giving feedback on their revision platform whilst studying for my GCSEs at Priory

Harry went on to study at Preston College. He was awarded a scholarship there after gaining references from his volunteering work and from Mrs Qadri. Throughout college he was working for Knowunity and this pushed him to make his decision to move to Berlin after completing his studies.

“I moved up to Operations Assistant and have worked my way up, looking at Ai and the way we can improve our operations.

“I came into Priory on Monday and talked to a small group of pupils about Knowunity, which is an all-in-one revision platform, and got them to look at it for their revision and how it can motivate them – and discover if there were any problems.

“Then I gave two speeches on Thursday making them fun but educational.

“Firstly, I spoke about Ai. Ai is used globally and it is great but also a concern if used wrongly. I spoke about how to use it correctly for revision purposes; it’s important to educate a young audience about it.

“Then I gave a second talk about Start Up companies and how students can get investment from many places if they have an idea that is good enough. I also spoke about my career path, a bit of background on my company and how to start a business and cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit.

“I was delighted to return – I enjoyed it all and seeing Mrs Qadri again and sitting in on a few Computer Science lessons where I was able to help students with their programming tasks.”
