Important Notice - Catering Facilities 4th & 5th September

Dear Parents/Guardians

As you may know, Penwortham Priory Academy has been successful in obtaining funds to replace the school’s kitchen with modern new facilities. This work has been taking place during the summer break. 

Unfortunately, we have been informed this week that the contract has run slightly behind schedule and regrettably therefore, the school will not be able to offer hot food to pupils on Tues, 4th and Weds, 5th September.

During these two days we are encouraging pupils to bring their own packed lunches and snacks, however, a variety of sandwiches will be available to purchase on both days (pre-ordering not required) at lunchtime, as well as drinks and limited cold snacks at break. Please ensure that pupils have enough credit on their accounts in advance if they wish to buy*. Packed lunches will be available to pupils on free school meals. 

The kitchen will be in full service from Thurs, 6 September.

Please accept our apologies for the disruption to catering services over this short period, however, please be assured that this will allow us to continue to offer pupils freshly prepared, healthy food alongside an efficient service which meets the highest regulatory standards.

*Year 7 pupils should bring a small amount of cash until their payment accounts have been setup.
