A model start for Year 7 science pupils

Year 7s Wren and Georgia came top of the class after they were joint winners of a Science Summer Competition.
Run by Assistant Head of Science Miss Nouraghaeii, it was a voluntary task over summer to prepare the new Year 7s for life at Priory. The competition was to make a scientific model or presentation on a topic of their choice.
Wren chose to make a 3D design of the Solar System, including facts on each planet, while Georgia selected an animal cell, also providing information on her design.
“The Science Department chose Wren and Georgia as the winners of the Scientific Model Competition,” said Mrs Nouraghaeii.
“We loved the attention to detail on Georgia’s model and the great information that came with it.
“Wren’s model of the Solar System included lots of amazing facts about each planet which we enjoyed reading.
“Thank you and well done to everyone who took part in this extension task, with the models now being displayed in the science department.”
Georgia said: “It took a while to make my model but I enjoyed doing it.”
Wren added: “I learnt a lot about the Solar System while making my model.”
