Here's what our Cool Readers Club is all about...

These are our reading stars put forward by their English teacher.  We interview them about their current book, what they like reading about and what they like to do when they’re not reading.  Introducing Maddison...

Maddison has the drive to succeed – she wants to be a Formula One engineer! 

Aside from her sport ambitions, the Year 9 enjoys romance novels. 

“I am reading Colleen Hoover’s November at the moment,” said Maddison. 

“It’s about two people who meet and have a five-year agreement to meet each other on that date every year. 

“I like a good romance book and Colleen Hoover is my favourite author, I like her books and they are easy to read.” 

In school, Maddison enjoys drama and art but her dreams lie elsewhere. 

“I want to be a Formula One engineer and I am studying engineering at Priory. 

I love sport and I have grown up with bikes. I have had a motorbike since I was young and I have watched Moto GP since I was little as all my family are into motorbikes.” 

Maddison's English teacher, Mrs Elliott added, "Maddison loves the start of her English lessons where she gets to bury her head in her most recent Colleen Hoover novel and has done a stalwart job of encouraging some of her peers to also sample Hoover's work.  Maddi is really capable and certainly has the 'drive' to achieve her F1 dream!"
