Congratulations to our pupils. We all know how hard it’s been at times, but also how hard they have worked. They should be very proud. Here's how Uzair, Jake and Archie got on...

Uzair

Uzair was with his proud mum Lubna.

“I am so happy,” he said. “I got three Grade 8s, three Grade 7s and two Grade 6s. I am so pleased, especially as I got a 7 in Maths and I thought I would get a 5 or 6. I also got a 7 in Art.

“I want to go to Newman College and study Biology, Chemistry and Psychology and do something in medicine.”

Jake

Jake celebrated two Grade 9s, four Grade 8s among his results.

“I wasn’t that nervous,” said Jake. “I want to go to Runshaw College and study Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Chemistry.

“My mum is a pharmacist and I want to do something with medicine in the future.”

Archie

Archie admitted he was shocked at his results as he achieved three Grade 8s, two Grade 7s and two Grade 5s.

“I have done much better than I expected,” said Archie. “I thought I had bottled my history but I got a Grade 8.

“I want to go to Runshaw College and study Biology, History and PE. I have picked those as I really don’t know what I want to do in the future!”
