Head Prefect Lewis has all the right moves as the Ballroom and Latin dancer is competing at a high level.
Lewis has been dancing for eight years after winning dance lessons at a birthday party and finding he enjoyed it.
“I just really took to it and have been having dancing lessons ever since then,” said Lewis.
“I now have lessons twice a week in Liverpool in Ballroom and Latin. I really like the music and it is a special skill which takes a while to get used to.”
Lewis has recently completed more dance exams and was awarded Distinction grade in all eight dances.
“I have competed all over the UK in competitions and I enjoy it. I have won a lot of the competitions which is something I am proud of."
Lewis competed in the UKA Premier Dance Festival earlier this month at Blackpool's Winter Gardens which was his first competition in the 16-35 year category as he recently turned 16, placing him against adults for the first time.
“I have danced against adults before so it doesn’t really worry me.”
When most people mention dancing many think of ‘Strictly’ but Lewis admits he isn’t the shows biggest fan.
“To be honest I prefer actually dancing than watching it. My mates don’t really say a lot about me being a dancer as I have always done it so they just accept it.
“I could go into teaching dancing professionally as a career but I would really like to go into acting.
“I have been in school productions, where I have used my dancing as well, but I would like to get more into the drama side of it and I would love to appear on TV!”
Images show just of some of Lewis' trophies and medals - 115 medals from eight years of collecting plus a selection of trophies from the last 16 months since he has been entering teacher/student and ProAm competitions.
