Vivien, Ada and Marshall: I love Maths because...

Assistant Head of Maths Mr Sneddon, along with the Maths Department, is running a competition asking pupils to say what they particularly enjoy about their subject. 

Pupils were tasked with completing the following sentence, "I love Maths because..." and qualifying responses were rewarded with an I love Maths badge.

Here's why Year 7 Vivian, Ada and Marshall love Maths:

Vivian...  

because it's an amazing subject, is very interesting and I think personally that Maths is very '?'.  If we think about it, we actually use Maths in everyday life because it's helpful in life. So many words you can describe Maths in. Think about it, we actually use Maths in everyday life because when you go to the shop you have to estimate how much money you're going to need.  That's why I love Maths!     

Ada...

because it can be very helpful for cooking and baking and all sorts of things like measuring, cutting and weighing. Another reason why I love Maths is because it's either right or wrong, like in English it's always opinions and in Science it's always predictions yet Maths is really precise. Finally, I like figuring out sums, and learning if I get them wrong. 

Marshall...

because of the facts and numbers. I like the shapes of the numbers and solving problems.
